Next time you are using an internet cafe in London you may get a tap on the shoulder.

Police Notices are appearing in public internet cafés throughout London warning people against browsing unlawful and offensive material on the internet.

I presume that this would also include contravertial websites, so if you are looking at Alex Jones, Wiki Leaks or something naughty, the guy running the shop could also be watching your content through remote access and if he is not happy with what you are looking at, he will call the cops.

Welcome to the police state UK, its only a year or two behind China.

Is that any different from a publican chucking someone out for smoking hash in his pub?

it is their shop, they have a right to ensure nothing illegal is taking place on their premises.

if you want to look at nekid ladies, do it at home.

If I saw someone in an internet café reading anything Alex Jones-related I would most likely sidle up to them and have a quiet word myself tbh.

I would have thought that would be assumed in a public place. For the same reasons that porno mags are on the top shelf in a newsagents.

Run_to_da_hills, you're basically just the boards arm of the Daily Mail aren't you?

Not the porn I would be concerned about, It would be the vagueness of the definition 'Offensive' Could that include blogging, political satire or poking fun of religions?. I don't think the UK has got any blasphemy laws.... yet.
