ive seen 3 of the AGM ones and all of them had issues with the mags, hop up and firing (i think the trigger mechs were gammy)
ive seen one well and that didnt have any issues at all
now i know those arnt a lot of samples to go off but without doubt i would go with the Well

i had a well L96, ok i guess, its either the one i bought was damaged or the whole gun itself is crap but two other of my mates had a L96, i dont think they had any problems, if you gonna buy a gun off boards, i suggest you test it out first

Hmm... well i was ofered a AGM L96, in almost perfect order for 120. But I heard bad things about AGM's version. I dunno, i just dont wanna be stung with a bad gun

if it is your first gun buy it from a retailer

    retailer eh? how come?
    First airsoft gun, yes

well i strongly recommend you dont get a bolt action as your first gun, they are far more difficult to use effectivly, you wont be pulling off mega long range hits like in movies due to the limit, the best thing to do for a first gun is to go for an aeg, and if you wanna see what sniping is like then try semi auto only for a game, then multiply the difficulty of that by 100:)

and buy from a retailer as theres a warranty and you can also go to the shop to try out many guns to see which you like best

Buy an AEG first. At some stage you can stick a bi-pod and telescopic sight onto it and get a real feel for sniping. Having said that, My buddy bought a JG BAR-10 as his first Airsoft gun and never looked back - He now has a WELL L96.

Bottom line is - If your up for the challenge then get yourself a Bolt action, If not AEG.

I like challenges... lol nah i used to assault rifle it a lil in paintballing. Liked the rush feeling, but stealth and well executed shots make me smile more lol I just wanna know the diff with the 2 guns. Most say go for a WELL but i wanna know if theres much difference, like someone who has shot both

I've shotten the WELL L96 myself and its freaking lethal to be fair so I can highly recommend it. Haven't shot the other but as said above - Rumours of poor build quality are circling.

Thats my fear, I'd love a L96, but I've only been offered a AGM. Plus i was by buying other stuff, hence cant really push to buy one retail

just about the trigger mech prob i mentioned, what happened was when you cock it normally and pull the trigger nothing happens, and when you pull the bolt handle up it fires, im not sure if thats a problem with the bolt or seers or deeper inside the trigger mech, perhaps someone can explain this better:)

If your unsure then don't take the AGM - Save for a retail Well. It might take longer but at least your not making a hastey decision.
