Hows it going, I've a question regarding doing a masters.

Now I haven't particularly looked into this possible scenario but my parents have expressed concern that I should do one(if I'm eligable that is) as they seem pretty convinced that I'm going to be slumming it at home on the dole for the forseeable future and that, given the current economic climate I should try and improve my education/CV with a view to being able to secure a job whenever it is the jobs market starts to perk up.

I've been told the BIS masters is extreemely difficult - like an FYP spread out over a longer period of time and coding is far from my strong point.

I'd been considering looking for a part time job - bar or hotel work to keep me tiding over before taking a Fás course on cisco networking which are necessary to secure a job in tech support which is what I want to do as a career.

Basically what I'm looking for is advice on the masters in business and I.T. in UCC (or other colleges where applicable) - are they worth it, will it be benefitial to take one on??

If not does anybody have any information on FÁS courses that have a proven track record etc.

    Thanks in advance!
