Hi guys, so glad to see the new forum up and running. I am teaching FETAC L4 Personal and Interpersonal Skills and Cultural Studies for the first time this year. Im finding it very hard to get materials etc for the courses, or to even decipher exactly what the module descriptor is looking for. Would love if anyone could share resources with me. I would be willing to share anything I have for other subjects in return. It would be great if we had books or a one stop website to get materials for FETAC courses. I know there are a few sites up and running but they seem to have very little traffic and have more questions than answers.

I think many FETAC teachers will sympathise with your problem - there is nothing out there, do your own research, but somehow, miraculously, interpret the module in line with your External Examiner's ideas...
Are you the only one teaching that module?

Some modules are easier than others to decipher, some state exactly what is required with no wriggle room. Others, like two of the modules I teach you have to try and decipher between the learning objectives and the marking sheet, and hope that the two match. If you have taught other FETAC modules you will know that though.

I have just looked at the module, and the marking sheet is not helpful! Though it is not ambiguous, which is a blessing. The guidelines are better than some.

Presumably you are asking for help and resources with the precise module you are to teach? In which case I can't help you as it is not my area. If you are just looking for help interpreting the module, if you want to PM me I may be able to make some general suggestions.

I'm delivering Personal and Interpersonal Skills Level 4 at the moment, I'd be happy to share what I have and maybe discuss it, I'm not 100% happy with it, I still feel it needs tweeking! I've never spoken to another P&IP Skills instructor, I work in a bit of a vacum! I'll PM you my email.
