PS3 wont read disk's

    Hi guys and girls since yesterday I bought BF BC2 playied it once
    and ever since when I put in any game it doesnt even recognise when I put in any game.

    What could it be?
    The playstation hasnt moved since so it didnt take any fall or anything so its really odd.

    Have you tried DVDs or CDs in it, or just games?

    It pick's up DVD's just put òne in (not blueray) and it was recognised.

    You need to try A) another PS3 game or B) a bluray film.

    Sounds like the bluray laser is busted.

    Under a year old. But I got it 2nd hand from Gamestop

    Sounds like the BRoD alright. I've had 2 consoles suffer this fate but the one I have now is going strong almost a year on. Hopefully all will be okay with it. As it's a 2nd hand console you're most likely out of warranty but there are a couple of options. Either you can change the bluray laser head yourself if you think you'll be able to do it or you can drop it into these guys and they should be able to sort you out for around 60 Euros.
