i take it you dont want a live catch trap, traps arent dear, and you could lay poison in pipes around the lawn that would sort then for a while, i have found it easier to catch them in a live trap and then drown, buying is the best option though because once these are gone more will follow

I have a live trap. As jap said i used to drown them but i believe its un humane to drown them now???? Il be in Dublin saturday, Swords, Blanch and airport. I could meet you somewhere near M50. Ya can have the thing, they have become cute to it so i use poison now.
I find live traps only control the problem to an extent

I got a ball of Shooting Times magazines off Vermin Hunter on here.
One of the articles in one was very interesting. This dude in england, (his full time job) is clearing rats from places. He puts hoses onto strimmers chainsaws etc and puts the other end into the holes. He has twelve terriers than catch the bolting rats. Whatever dosnt bolt he reckons die from the fumes and he's had no complaints yet. I know its not relevent but it is intersting.

Dusty is back on line. Did you get any shooting over the weekend. I'm very pleased at getting a few nice prone shots this evening with the remmy.

Nice to know I can still hit a rabbit from the shoulder.

A rat, now that would be a challenge!:D:D

I think they're called "smokers" you put extra oil into the petrol/oil mix. Out come the rats and the terriers nab them.

Brilliant DVD that! Have it on VHS! Got it before the DVD was invented!:D

Ya finally got your pup! Hard breed to get hold of unless ya know a breeder!

In my opinion, i think you should get a couple of those black plastic rat traps and set them inside pipes or cover them! They only cost around 8 euro and do the job!

Seemingly they cant see a red light. It would be good craic shooting them with an air rifle at night under a red light.

Just shot at clays with the rifle. Bipod is great;)
