What to do with an unwanted broken HD box ?

    My old Thomson HD box went on the blink and Sky gave me a new one for free and €30 install fee. Never gave the old one back is it of any use to anyone or could I trade it in somewhere for a second HD box for the bedroom?

    Is it still working as a receiver? If so you can use it to view some free channels.

    Very likely it needs the power supply replaced (recapped). Working Sky HD box's make ~€100 on adverts.ie, if you're lucky you might get fifty for it.

    Oh and that's only if it comes with a remote.
