A big gang of us are heading down to Waterford mid June for a stag weekend. We were looking to get a round of golf in on the Friday, maybe early afternoon.
    We're staying in the City.

Anyone got any recommendations of some courses in that area? Something half decent would be nice but we'll be playing for fun so it's not vital.

    Cheers lads :)

Williamstown on the outer ring road will be your best bet.

There's an open singles in Tramore on Fridays - 25 euros to enter including a grill afterwards. Timesheet runs till 3pm so maybe thats too early. Green fees are 45 outside of the competition.

Williamstown is not a bad course at all - green fees probably around 20 euros. I haven't played there for a few years but if it's dry, then it is fine.

Waterford Golf Club run a 4 person team event every Friday - 15 euros per person ..

Faithlegg and Waterford Castle are great courses too - green fees probably around 45/50 euros

I would agree with the above, I'm a member in Waterford Castle, and I'd say you would get a better price at the moment, than mentioned above, same would apply for Faithlegg. I reckon as a group you'd easily get it for the 30-35 mark.

i have been a member of both waterford and waterford castle both good courses with waterford been the better a thigh old style course with very fast green always in good nick.willamstown is only ok a bit rough in parts faithlegg and tramore are good to parklands.so its up to you what kind of course you want to play.
