and apologising draws attention to it. I apologised for the state of my bus pas today and the driver verbally assaulted me and said it was the last time I would be allowed to travel with my current pass, a replacement will take a while to procure.

He wasn't even going to look at it until I drew his attention to it.

    I've learned a valuable lesson!:)

    You're German aren't you?
An Irish person would keep using it until it was in tatters and unreadable and then still try to get on the bus ;) "Ah go on, just this once. I'll sort it tomorrow I promise..."

Will never apologise for a flaw again..because it might not even be noticed: you might get away with this if you are a woman. But you'll always have to say sorry even when you're in the right if you're a man :P

"Alright then, I'm not sorry: but you will accept it, end of story, because it's your job and I've paid for it. Make them more durable in future, please."

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Heh, you should see my Gardaì ID card! It's essentially just a white card with everything worn off, good thing I never get asked for ID anymore :pac:

The wallet it's kept in is even worse, bloody thing is half dust.
