Myself and my girlfriend went over on sat to see the Selby v Dott match then had tickets to the final session of the final on mondy evening. The crucible is a lovely venue, only bad thing i would say is that there was not any food on ie if you were hungry your only options were pringles and muffins.

Nice markets there over the weekend and some lovely shops, I met Peter Ebdon and had a chat with him we were all staying in the Hilton, A lot of the players and media guys were.

Great weekend, We will be back next year for sure.

the tournament itself wasn't the best quality this year though, it was kinda a let down...I assume the watchers noticed how BBC didn't do the usual Century Break count compared to other years..I'd say it was one of the lowest in years...Also, the Final was a snoozefest

Noticed that about the final, quite a lot of people (including us) went out to the bar for a few near the end and watched it out there, needed a break from the dull long frames overall we enjoyed it tho :)

The standard was poor compared to recent years. BBC were counting the breaks, I think it was about 55 centuries up to the final, but well down on last year, when i think there were 83 centuries. Obviously no 147 this year, and we're used to at least one these days.

Watching the final, a lot of the audience seemed to give up especially the front row seats after those two drawn out frames of 45 mins plus. It was 12.20 at that stage though. Loved Cliff Thorburn's comment though that this grinding snooker was right up his alley.
