Any advice for me, I have just enrolled with PCI college to do Diploma in above, it's a four year part-time course. The thing is, PCI says it meets the criteria of IACP, but IACP don't recognise their course. PCI tell me they are waiting for accreditation, and by the time I have finished course, they will have it. I'm worried now, in case I am wasting my money, obviously I don't want to spend 4 years studying for nothing either.
Anyone have any experience of PCI?
I am a mature student (43) very mature!!!! so time to waste is not on my side.

I did a two year upgrade degree with PCI and I must say I enjoyed every moment of it. Lectures and course content excellent. I have no doubt they will receive IACP accreditation very soon. Relax u are only a child!!! We therapists go on forever!!

PCI are indeed accredited, however each one of their courses (ie if your doing one on a weekend versus a specific day during the week for instance) are accredited individually. Each one of their courses has to be running for a minimum of 5 years before they can apply for accreditation, despite it being the exact same course as one being run on an alternate day. Also, the accreditation is only applicible for a set number of years, and when that runs out they would need to re-apply.

Had my interview with PCI last week, got my acceptance letter this.
