    Hi Folks,

I'm getting rid or Eircom for Phone and Broadband, but keeping Sky for TV. Do I need to connect a phoneline to the Sky Box for Box Office Events? Will the Sky Box Phone connection work through the UPC cable modem?

    Thanks in Advance,
    Niall.

I have the setup you are describing. Yes you need a phone connection to watch a sky box office movie. And yes the UPC phone out socket ontheir wireless router will do the trick. Watched an education at the weekend by this method. I have connected the phone out from the router socket to one of my old eircom sockets on the wall and now all the phones in the house work off the UPC router.
