Tethering on 3.1.3

    Hi,

    I'm sure this has been covered loads but I just want a little clarification.

    I updated to 3.1.3 yesterday and used Spirit to jailbreak. I was on 3.0 and I had some carrier settings to enable tethering. Now my option to tether is gone.

    Can I get tethering again? When I updated to 3.1.3 iTunes told me there was some new carrier settings but I didn't install them. Should I?

    Is tethering allowed by O2 now? And if it is allowed does it come under my regular data usage?

    yeah, accept the carrier updates, and you should be grand. I upgraded to 3.1.3 yesterday, accepted the carrier update, and am tethering as i type...

    If you're on the old price plan, its included in your 1GB allowance. If you're on the new contracts, u have to pay extra for tethering.

    i changed plan to move to the unlimited usage, i accepted the carrier settings and dont have anything about tethering in my settings.

    Just got MyWi from cydia and that works for me so i'm OK.

    Can I ask what your APN is set to?

    Not sure why you don't have the option??

    APN: internet
    no username or password.

    Well you could always add the following repo

    This allows you to teather via bluetooth, adhoc wifi and cable.

    be careful, on the unlimited plan tethering is charged for, it costs a good bit aswell unless ya have a tethering addon from o2
