These have not been discontinued as far as I know (think that was the MK5s).

Is there anywhere in town that sells these new?

Any second hand ones I've looked at have had heavy (ab)use.

    Thanks

1210's are practically indestructable...I have seen plenty of bruised and battered technics that work just fine. By all means check the platters, tone arms and pitch controls when buying second hand, but other than that, I doubt you will be unfortunate enough to buy a pair of dodgy pair of 1210's.

Oh and remember, you can buy and replace just about every single part of a 1210!

    Thanks acman.

My pair of KAMs have given up after 15 years loyal service. I can only afford one new Technics but can possibly stretch to a pair if second hand price is decent. One would do for the time being. Thanks for the link.
