hi I bought this PC in pc work in jervis st and basically I am sorry. So I though I would warn everybody.

The problem is the keyboard. I am typing this on a keyboard where it is very hard to hit the correct keys. The enter key, arrow keys, and space bare are too small. The numeric keypad might be handy for some people but it seems to have taken up all the space

.Useing the computer is very difficult because you spend all your time trying to hit the correct keys. "Besides" that it seems fine, very quick in comparison to my old laptop.

Over all though I am very sorry and annoyed with Toshiba that they created such a terrible laptop which I will now have to hold onto for a long while:(

It cost €820 with software €755 with out

Give it time and you'll adjust to the keyboard. The more accustomed you are to a keyboard and the better typist you are, the more painful it is to get used to a new keyboard. This is usually always a problem on laptops because they don't use the same layout across the board unlike most desktops. I've had the same problems you describe on various laptops, my netbook, and my phone but in every case I've adapted to the new layout. Seriously you should be fine after a while. I'd try typing out anything you can just to get used to it.

YOU could buy a wireless keyboard, or a usb keyboard if you do a lot of typing.

thanks ricman, I could but I just like to grab the laptop and use it while sitting watching tv etc. Plus my main point is don't get it as it is a really bad user experience.

I know I might get used/adapt to it but that is not the point. You should not have to.

If you were thinking of buying this model don't as there are easier laptops to use.
When I looked at it in PC World it seemed fine but it just after a while you notice how bad it is.

Well you could put it on adverts .ie swap, swap it for a laptop that has a good keyboard.IS it possible to reassign keys thru windows 7.
IF you wanna swap it, make sure the battery has 2 hours battery life .

thanks ricman, I would feel bad about inflicting this piece of crap on any body. I am afraid I am not getting used to it as time goes on. The keys are far too small to hit comfortably. There is a basic design flaw with this model. It is incredibly annoying.
