    Hi there,

Just looking for some opinions as I'm a little bit torn.

I'm interested in getting the HTC desire, I'm currently with o2 but I'm considering moving to Meteor, simply for the better value they are offering on bill pay packages.

I live and work in a suburban area but would spend leisure time in rural areas so I am curious about the network coverage with Meteor? Is it as bad as some say?

Does anyone have experience of using an Android phone with Meteor and how have you found it?

Ive not found any real problems using either the HTC Hero or Desire with Meteor. Granted ive been mostly in Galway City while ive had them, but ive also been in the back arse of nowhere and got signal. FYI, the battery on the Desire is its only downfall, 1-2 days is what you will get out if it TBH. It not that inconvenient, so long as you remember to charge it.

Regards signal... It all depends where you're from, some places just have poor signal on meteor, if you know anyone on meteor you could ask them what their signal is like around your work and home area.

I've had one bad morning with Meteor signal, but in an area that I couldn't take calls on Vodafone anyway as they'd just drop. Switching has improved my situation so no complaints here.

As above ^^ check signal at home and work, or wherever you'll use it most.

Thanks for the replies, I live in Limk where the Meteor signal is supposed to be pretty strong. Was my only concern really so think I'll go ahead.

Battery is fair enough for a phone with this kind of functionality I suppose, It's what I'm used to anyways so won't be a prob.

    Thanks again :)

The down side of working off metor is that their 3G network is very limited.
So that would put me off.

With the likes of 3 announcing an update on their I-HSPA(3GPP or 4G) network next week thats what ill be interested in.
