Hi can any one tell me if it is safe/allowed to erect a poly tunnel under a power line,i have just had my field planted with oak and silver birch but there is a powerline running across the field and the forestry co had to leave a 20metre wide strip free of trees, this strip is about 200 metres long and rather than just leave it go to waste i am thinking of turning it into an allotment compleat with a large poly tunnel, has anyone any thoughts or knowledge about this, thanks in advance

Should be no problem as long as you don't grow tall trees in your allotment.
The reason they use a clear strip is so trees don't grow into the lines.
