Wouldn't worry about that mate. You will find people like that everywhere you go. They are the ones with the problem, not you! Don't let it put you off playing anyway. There's certainly nothing wrong with having a few practice games on your own.

There's a thread here about a new club in Drogheda. Perhaps you could give that a try if you fancy a change (unless of course, that is the club you're talking about!).

they wouldnt be exclusive to snooker at all op, you get those types of idiots in pubs, at football matches etc.

next time that happens challenge them to a few frames and show them who's boss ;)

Ignore them. If they've nothing better to be doing in a snooker hall than pass stupid comments like that, one must question what the f*ck they're doing there.

Don't worry about being on your own either, I've had several frames on my own and found it helped big time as I was able to focus, go for any ball or set up shots.

As the poster above said, challenge them if you wanna show them who's top or just play away.

    Hi Legendkiller,

Our club is manned all the time so there is no messing, we have quality tables(2 local pros practice there) and there's a bar. I hope you drop down to try it out :)

That is the mentality of the whitworth and most of the young lads in it, iv been there many a times, it smells, rests are missing, cues are wobbly. it's the "council estate" of snooker clubs in my opinion

Drogsnookerclub's snooker place seems the place to head OP.

Sounds like you're being a bit dramatic... There's dickheads everywhere, if all they said (to one another) is that you're a loser, then you got off lightly!

They're probably just insecure themselves, the kind of person couldn't stand playing snooker, having a quiet pint, eating lunch, etc., alone in case someone saw them.

    Children tbh
