    only just finished the game yesterday.

    so i thought i would try it online.

    the last half an hour it has not downloaded anything. how long should it take.

    also what is a game id. if thats what its called

    Game I.D is just kinda like a username you use to log into the server I think. But I haven't played it in quite a while. Likewise I don't know when the last update was so it might take a while.

    I have heard about people waiting forever for updates to download. Maybe ask over in the MGS forum

    Ok first of all when your downloading it, don't use the recommended p2p because it takes forever, use the html option. It took me over an hour but it worked eventually.
    And a game id is just like a username. It'll let you make it once you download it

    It's great fun online, I especially like the Stealth DM and Team Stealth games. Playing as Snake can be fun, although I'm crap at it.

    It took me over a day of leaving it there to download it and that was probably a year ago so there is bound to be more updates.

    Just use the HTML. I've 3mg broadband and it took an hour or two so be patient. The update is a couple of gigs!

    This happens on and off to me too. The first time I played online it was taking the piss the length of the DL times. Unfortunately I think MGO has aged particularly badly. I hadn't played it in about 8 months, over which time I played the 'big' online titles such as COD and Halo etc. Went back to MGO then one night for the laugh and I had to turn it off because I found it so hard to play. Just my opinion.

    I tried downloading this just last week. After 2hrs on P2P it was only 47% downloaded so I cancelled and downloaded from the server whcih took about half hr.

    The Metal Gear Solid forum is dead.

    Konami wouldn't let us just use the PSN sign ins for some reason so you need a Konami id but then a game ID to play the game itself. Oh and you can only use one character ie. you only get one character slot so if you wanna build up a new one you'll have to delete the one you have. Extra character slots cost extra money - €4 as far as I know
