Cutting dashboard fascia

Hey everyone,

I fitted a Parrot RKi8400 (http://www.parrot.com/uk/products/hands-free-car-kits/parrot-rki8400) to a 2006 impreza rx last week.

The front of the radio was too wide for the dashboard fascia so I had to trim the inside edge of on both sides.
The radio fits fine now but some of the trimming is visible and I would love to cover it up if possible.







Does anybody have any ideas for something I could use to cover the trimmed sections or alternatively is there any after-market fascia that can be fitted to take a wider radio?

Buy something like this,



Wider at the front and narrows at the back to fit the slot.

Its actually a Blaupunt Subaru adapter.

Yeah I suppose. You can always bring it back to halfords if its not the correct size.

I'd take the unit and cage out and drill new holes in the cage so the unit sits further back in the cage

I'd love to but unfortunately the front of the unit is too wide to go back any further. When the front clips off as in the pic below, it won't go back any further. That's why I had to cut the fascia.
