That’s three dates of flying down the bus lanes while not having to worry about petrol or parking.

while worrying if you will be one hour or 2 late for work...
    :pac:

Not knocking the promotion but clearly their web designer doesn't realise that we don't use yellow number plates here....likely a UK firm. The DB marketing people should have spotted it though.

Lets see, fuel at 15 euros a week, commute time from 2-3 hours to a hour on the button. Nope Dublin bus, you have lost my custom and will never get it back.

They should have highlighted the travel 90 as well.

The bit that says "cheat on your car once a week" is supposed to look like 2 rear number plates. I'm pretty sure it was intended that way anyway. No big deal though, it doesn't detract from the ad.

I couldn't possibly cheat on my car, it is too intellighent with on board computer etc, it would find out soon enough. :p

Duh! Sorry. It became obvious once you said it. With yellow being one of the DB corporate colours I just took it to be part of that but now you mention it the layout of those banners, the typefaces and the colours really lead themselves to be compared to UK rear numberplates.

why would a 3 day rambler be good for cheating once a week...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,316 ✭✭✭KC61

Because they are valid on three non-consecutive days.

I think you're clutching at straws here, it's in the DB website colours, none of the letters are made to look like numbers, seems to be just a DB bashing for no good reason.

Looks to me to be following their branding guidelines down to a tee. The boxed off yellow background with heavy black text can be see throughout DB's printed documents.

You're right, my mistake. Just a coincidence.

I have been really supportive of DB's moves to review the network, so why would I want to bash them.

They're really putting the effort into the company now. A proper review of the network, new services such as routes mapped and RTPI. Promotions such as these are just the icing on the cake.

€10 for three non consecutive days on the bus, this needs to stick around.
