Hi, does anyone know if the waiting times listed are the time it takes to get a test or the time it takes until you are notified? For example, if you apply today with a 12 week waiting time should you have your test around 27th July, or will you only be contacted around then?

My son applied for his test the end of March and he was notified around the 15th of April that his test is end of March - thats in Dublin dont know if it varies around the country though.

Sorry, do you mean the test is end of April / May? What centre is it? The waiting list where I am varies 12/13 weeks

His test is the second last week of May but you receive a letter 5 weeks beforehand giving you the actual date - the centre is Churchtown

Thanks very much- it appears then that the time is from when you apply until you sit the test and teh Churchtown 9 week waiting list is pretty accurate! Just worried about holidays etc even though I applied 15/16 weeks before I'm away
