Can You Have a Relative Claim Tax Back for Braces on Your Behalf?

So I've decided to go ahead and make an appointment to get braces fitted.
However due to my being out of work atm, I won't be able to claim tax back on them.

I was just wondering, would it be possible for my brother to claim tax back for me?
And if so, what would the procedure for that be?

Also, might anyone have a rough idea of how much (percentage wise) you might be entitled to claim back?

    Cheers for you help!

    Hi there

a family member can claim as long as he pays it and his PPS number is on the form, the rate is 20% reduced from 41% in 2009, thanks to the government

Ha ha, I suppose it's better than nothing! It'll probably be that way pretty soon though...

    Thanks for your help!
