I have high hopes for this episode due to the guest appearances of
    Olivia Newton-John
    and
    Molly Shannon
    . She's hilarious!

A bit of plot development with the whole Rachel/Jesse thing would be smashing!

    Ah no way!
She's a great comedic actress. She was brilliant as Val in Will and Grace. I hope she plays something similarly mental.

I actually cannot stand Will's dancing. It makes me want to scream.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,448 ✭✭✭Garseys

It is pretty awful alright. It's got the dancing dad syndrome I think!
good episode, as always Sue stole the show!

"I don't know how to turn on a computer"

It will be interesting to see where Rachel and the new twist with Will/Emma will go!

Definitely picked up a bit this week compared to the last couple.

    Highlights:
Emma getting a backbone courtesy of Sue. I had thought that Terri might have been used to break the news to Emma about him snogging yer wan, but this was good too.

I think there's great potential there for Molly Shannon's character. I reckon she'll give Sue a run for her money and will cause problems for Will and Emma.
I love Sue with her sister. It's just so sweet."

    Hmmm...
I had hoped the author of the glist was Jesse. We all know he's a spy, we saw the look Idina gave him when he was snogging Rachel, so they really need to give us a bit more of that. I do feel bad for Finn in the whole thing, but I love how equally diva-ish Rachel and Jesse are when they're together....."Do me a favor, if we end up next to each other on the bar at ballet club this week, just do your arabesques and piques in silence, don’t talk to me."

    Favourite quotes:
Brittney: I’ve been here since first period. I had a cold, and I took all my antibiotics at the same time, and now I can’t remember how to leave.
Sue: I may buy a small diaper for your chin because it looks like a baby's ass
Artie: I don’t know guys, I’m starting to get cold feet. Brittney: Can you even feel your feet?
Mercedes: And why does everyone assume I’m angry all the time? It’s called Sassy, Mr. Schue.

But my absolute favourite was this gem...
"Don’t start with me, Castle, or I will kick you straight in the taco." - Sue

I will kick you in the taco! fantastic line!

I was couldnt help wishing that some would say "i ****in need you tonight!" in the last song :-)

    Great episode, really enjoyed it.

Oh and I loved Total Eclipse. I really love Jesse's voice.

i hate when they do songs I like cos I don't know what to think. I think yer man Jesse sounds like the singer from snow patrol singing total eclipse

It picked up from last week, but still wasn't too great. Loved Sue/Olivia and I thought Will's Ice Ice Baby and the Library Can't Touch This were great.
Thought Molly Shannon was a good addition to the show, but not really sure why she was on!?

I like Sue and her sister storyline too.

Big improvement over last week. I loved the music this week, cheesiness galore, just the way that I like it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,722 ✭✭✭anotherlostie

I thought it was great - Sue was on fire in the first 20 minutes! The only thing to let it down was the Rachel bad reputation story. I think Molly Shannon will be a good addition to things - another crazy now that Terri is off the scene. And I loved Sandy Ryerson's cameo in the video - more of him please.

Why is everyone putting spoiler tags on? To me ***Spoilers Within*** means don't look until you've watched?

One of my favourite episodes so far. Loved the songs and the humour. Thought everyone getting angry over Rachel's video was a bit stupid..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,264 ✭✭✭✭Alicat

Great episode! Much much better than last weeks.

To echo some posts above, my favourite line was
Sue: I might buy a small diaper for your chin, because it looks like a baby's ass

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,016 ✭✭✭Blush_01

I have to say Rachel's video was a massive disappointment. I mean,
what the hell is Finn getting so cut up about all of a sudden
    ?

    Also,
would have loved if Jesse had been behind the Glist
. Is it just me or is the whole Jesse thing building up far too slowly? Action please!!

Also very disappointed that Emma is just
    swapping one manipulator for another
, although cannot wait to see where it goes, because the sickly sweet thing drives me nuts.

Olivia Newton John is looking well - how old is she know anyway?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,975 ✭✭✭nkay1985

Pretty good episode. Thought the whole Rachel video thing was a bit ridiculous.

Also, I'm just left wondering why they put 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' in as a song with a bad reputation. I certainly wouldn't have thought so. Bonnie Tyler did it originally and The Dan Band made it popular with a new generation (albeit a slight bit altered:D).

On the song within the show, I thought Rachel lacked the power needed to really attack it in parts.

Sue with her sister was great though. I've seen Jane Lynch in a lot of tv shows and movies recently and think she's great. I don't think I'd watch Glee without her to be honest.

She looks like she has had an ass-load of surgery tbh..

    .. and she's 61.

All Sue, Artie and Puck parts were my highlights forget Jesse and Finn we need more of Artie and Puck singing imo

I thought the Library "Can't touch this" was absolutely brilliant and Sue's storyline with her sister.
I missed the first 15 minutes - can anyone explain what the "glist" is please?? I was totally lost with this whole storyline! HELP !!

The episode stared with a Glist posted all over the school - which Sue brings to Figgins attention. He said a similar list had been published in a nearby school and they expelled all the students. He said Will had to get to the bottom of it or he'd suspent the Glee club.

    Brill ep by the way...

Agreed. I asked for clarification in the Charter thread as some thought we should use spoilers until the episode airs on E4 which is 5 days after the original. Nobody replied. I don't mind using spoilers until it's aired in Ireland...but yes, spoilers within should be enough and none should be needed. :)

    Anyway, back on topic...

I enjoyed the video Rachel made, particularly the bit where she's playing up to camera at her locker and all the people are shoving into her.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,397 ✭✭✭✭FreudianSlippers

Again, while this episode was better I have to echo what I said about Gossip Girl in regards to Glee... I'm not sure how much longer they can keep doing this show before it loses all its appeal and freshness and we're just rehashing the same old storylines over and over with different music.

Other tv shows put 'US timeline' in the thread title to avoid confusion but I'd agree that once it says spoilers within, it's someone's fault if they look at the thread without having seen the show.

Yeah, with the air dates being a day apart I figured there was no need for two separate threads for discussion. It'd be pretty pointless. Thats why I put the dates in the thread titles. I'll poke a mod and see what they say :)

I really liked that episode, by far the best one since the break.

It was nice to see people laughing at Sue for once and I really like the new character

Great episode this week. Nice to hear some recognisable songs, even if they are cringy.

"Don’t start with me, Castle, or I will kick you straight in the taco." Fav quote! hahaha! Its so Sue.

Thought when the librarian turned around to them and told them she'd ask her pastor if they could play at Sunday service was class! And Kurt telling Sue that he put the video on the web, and he waiting for the punishment but not getting any was great

I still haven't watched ep 16, but I much preferred this episode to the Madonna one.

Total Eclipse of the Heart is no way a bad rep song! Westlife covered it! Emma getting a backbone, who would have thought it, just not a great time to confront Will!!

HUGE improvement over the episodes since they came back from the break. Loved it. Back to the cheesy stuff. Like the scenes with Sue and her sister, I like to see the nice side of her. Loved the Olivia Newton John/Sue Video, it was so bad it was good. Like Rachel she's so cringey and annoying, its funny to watch her.Too many good scenes to mention.....only thing I didn't like was seeing Will singing:pac: But from the thread from last weeks episode seems like I'm not the only one:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,096 ✭✭✭LadyMayBelle

Felt so sorry for Artie when they were all doing the Ice Ice Baby song, they totally left him out and he looked really sad about it! Boo Will and your lame dancing and lame white socks.

Bored with Jesse, loved the bit in Rachel's video where people kept shoving past her, she's still a loser :)

And Kurt's blunt observation that yes indeed, Will had been watching way too much Law and Order.

Maybe it's just me but I don't like the fact Sue gets her kind of come-uppances, I love the storyline with her sis, but I'm happy to watch her have enemies in Will and anyone else really. Sue rules!

Are you serious? Jesus, it has gotten a bad rep so. Then again, what haven't they covered at this stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,096 ✭✭✭LadyMayBelle

Love that song! Gutted (as anotehr poster mentioned) that no one came in with 'I ***** need you tonight!!'... now that would have made it ten times better

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,148 ✭✭✭✭KnifeWRENCH

Definitely the best episode since Glee returned from the break. Loved Rachel's cringeworthy video, Emma standing up to Schuester and Olivia Newton-John's cameo where she kept going on about how great she was.

This was definitely the best episode since Glee returned a few weeks ago. I've watched the episode 3 times since Wednesday! Great balance between the story and the music. The songs were excellent too. I simply loved Run Joey Run video. It was so over the top cheesy and funny. I also loved the dancing in Total Eclipse of the Heart.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,293 ✭✭✭Dinkie

Finally! I was startign to think that Glee was just going to go down hill.

I really love the other side to Sue with her sister.... and I loved the song with Rach, finn, puck and jesse.

I don't understand what Jesse is meant to add to the series. We have hardly seen him since he joined the cast.

I didn't like the glist storyline. It looked like a random story line just to give Quinn a few lines.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 716 ✭✭✭lemon_sherbert

Generally I thought this was much improved on the last few episodes. The Jesse story just seems like a vehicle for the actor though, it doesn't fit into the plot very well.

I thought it was really sad when Mr Shu was talking to Quinn about giving her baby to a family, I thought since Terri is off the scene she was going to keep it :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,894 ✭✭✭Chinafoot

Actually, just on the issue of Quinn and the baby...has it ever been mentioned where Quinn is living now? She had been living with Finn after her parents kicked her out but it's never been mentioned since.

Good question! No, I don't think it has - I presume with Puck and his family? I can't see those wretched parents of hers taking her back in

I'd say it is with Puck and his family, can't imagine her parents taking her back or Finn leaving her stay after what happened!
