Hi Boardsies, looking to buy a new laptop for my girlfriend. Her one is old and slow its a fujitsu siemens l7300.i am looking for recomendations for something modern. Does not have to be too powerful, mainly used for surfing and some light office work. Must have wi-fi and built in web cam. Dont want to buy a dell if at all possible not impressed with them since they left here. Thanks in advance. Ollie.:)

What about a netbook, it would handle light use (like office and web browsing) just fine, nearly all of them will come with Wi-Fi and webcams. Personally, I would go with the Samsung NC-10

Hi Guys, thanks for the replys. Dont think a netbook will do her i think she will want a full size screen and a dvd player. also she is an accountant so i was thinking of a laptop with a keypad on the side, i know it will be bigger but it does not kneed to be as portable as a net book. thanks.:)

Toshiba Satelites are good middle of the road from what I've seen, but can be overpriced in some places.
