As the title says....I can't stand the smell of vinegar but my wife doesn't even smell it hardly...she was washing down the sink with it and the smell filled the kitchen but she didn't get it at all!

Is there a name of this, when someone can't smell something so vile as this? Is she the minority or am I??

I looooove vinegar, I love the taste and the smell to an extent. I mean if it's over whelming then no thanks. I have no idea why I like it, as it's like acid. I prefer the malt vinegar too, nyom nyom.

It could be like the marmite thing?

    I can smell it, but it doesn't smell bad . . .

I love loads of vinegar in a bag of chips when it's all soaked in...and the bag is nearly melting, aw yeah!! Now, proper thick chips I mean, not the skinny ones.

Occasionally I get this really bad reaction to the smell of vinegar. Normally I actually like the smell if vinegar. It has happened to me 4-5 times in my life & the reaction lasts about a week or two but returns to normal??

I love vinegar. In fact when I was a kid I used to drink it straight from the bottle.

Before long my parents told my I was over-doing it so from that point I started cutting it with tap-water.

Hate the smell of it. Had to leave the room earlier when my parents were using it in the kitchen.

Love Vinegar... love love love it. Chipper chips get drowned in it and I loveee salt and vinegar crisps. Especially hunky dorys, loads of flavour!

Gotta have the vinegar on those chipper chips.
Can go without the salt, but without the vinegar they just aren't the same.

Also known as Celtic Tiger Fries.

It was far from balsamic vinegar that you were raised!

Vinegar is gorgeous. Nothing like chipper vinegar, not the same stuff you buy in the shop.

TBH, I'd rather p*ss on my chips & eat them, than soak them in vinegar.

i made the mistake of descaling the kettle with white vinegar, put it on to boil, had to leave the house, man, it stank, whatever you do, DO NOT boil vinegar
