I have stared a new thread for this as I feel the info contained is worthy of note.
I would direct any feedback or comments here.



As of from this Monday, May 10th, Voodoo Card Club will be making some changes to their tournament structures.

For the most part the tournaments themselves will remain the same.
We are altering the clocks and payouts to be more benificial to, not just all players who enter the tournaments, but also to all the players who finish 'in the money'.

You asked for it and we responded - New Levels Added

From the feedback from our players in the club and on these forums, the general concensus was that our games should have a 75/150 and a 150/300 level.
From Monday, all our tournaments will have both levels included.

All our tournaments will now start from:

25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
150/300 - colour up
200/400
etc.

Improved Payout Structures

We're boosting the prizes to reward the higher placed finishers – there’s so much more to play for. At the moment our payouts are set to pay out 20% of the field.
This meant that the prizepools were diluted somewhat and we weren't rewarding our top finishing players properly.

From Monday our payouts will be set to pay the top 15%.
This means when you get to the business end of our tournaments the players 'in the money' will have more to play for.


Thursday's Tournament - Scalp Added.

We are altering the tournament slightly to include the addition of a €5 scalp.

Thrursday's game will now be €20+€5reg + €5 scalp with one rebuy of €20

The max spend on Thursday won't change. It's still €50. Just how its distributed will change.
It will now be €30 + €20. (€20+€5+€5 and one re-buy/add on of €20). 5000 ss - 5000 Rb/TU

With the addition of the scalp you could possibly freeroll in the tournament without cashing by knocking players out.


Return of the Festival Freeroll chips.

From Monday May 10th all players will have the option of buying extra chips in all our tournaments.
For €5 you can add an extra 1000 to your starting stacks every night.
Each time you do you accumalate chips for a freeroll into our festival main event.
Every €250 generated from the extra chips will go towards a ticket to our Festival main event.

We will hold two Extra Chip Freerolls before the festival.

Anyone who buys extra chips in May qualifies for the May Freeroll.
Anyone who buys extra chips in June qualifies for the June Freeroll.

The more extra chips you buy, the more chips you get in the freerolls.

One on Saturday May 29th and one on Saturday June 26th.
So you could qualify for our Main Event for as little as a fiver.

Our VSOP festival runs from June 28th culminating in a two day event on July 3rd/4th.
I will start a festival thread later with info on all our other satellites/events for this fantastic week of poker.

Friday's Long Clock Game - New Progressive Guarantee

We have added a 'Progressive Guarantee' to our Friday Game.
Last week we guaranteed €1000. We reached it, so this week we are guaranteeing €1100.
Every week we reach our guarantee the next week will increase it by €100.
If we fail to meet it one week it will drop by €100.
The guarantee will never drop below €1000.



VFO’S AND VOFO’S

Regular players at the club will have noticed the introduction of a new(ish) game that has been causing a lot of interest and a degree of mayhem.

Originally designed to accommodate those who bust out early in the nightly tournament the game has increased so much in popularity it is now

offered at any time to members. Here’s how it works:

VFO (Voodoo Freeze-Out): Dealer Dealt, No Limit Hold’Em, €10+2 Buy-in, 2000 Chips, 9 handed table, 25/50 Blinds, No Clock, 30 Hands only, (20 hands on tournament breaks). At the end of the 30/20 hands the player with the most chips gets €60 and the player with the second most gets €30.

VOFO (Voodoo Omaha Freeze-Out): Dealer Dealt, Pot Limit Omaha, €20+3 Buy-in, 4000 Chips, 6 handed table, 25/50 Blinds, No Clock, 25 Hands only.

At the end of the 25 hands the player with the most chips gets €80 and the player with the second most gets €40.

So if you fancy a bit of this action when you’re next at the club just put your name on the list and wait to be called.

Last week we guaranteed €1000. We reached it, so this week we are guaranteeing €1100.
