So what's your favourite CSI and why

    040116_crimeCSI_hmed_12p.hmedium.jpg

Did you jump ship when CSI Vegas lost Grissom, had Warrick killed and moved Gregg out to the field...or do you find Gary S just too sinister looking to be the "good cop" all the time

Maybe its the sun, sand and sea of Miami you prefer?

Which CSI is your favourite, what one's do you watch, and why?

love las vegas cos it has more of a bite to the crime scene, now that warrick has gone i still watch it, when he got shot in the neck it was done realy well, but i was in shock for a bit after it cos i didnt know that he was going , plus the scene was so sad to watch, it was even worse when it showed grissom holding him on his last breath.

I'm going to go with CSI: Miami cos Horatio is just so funny.
He makes watching CSI more amusing.

Gotta be the original: Las Vegas!

    Grissom was the best!

I pick CSI NY - Mac Taylor all the way he is the best and it has a better all round cast than the others

I love Las Vagas and NY.
Las Vagas because the crimes are very interesting and Laurence Fishburne did a good job of settling in after William Peterson left. NY because again the stories are gritty and exciting.

I'm a Vegas girl all the way! think the stories are better, not as cheesy as Miami and New York, I just cant take to.

I thought they would be in trouble when Grissom went but i think Fishbourne has done a great job. cant wait to see when his background comes into it properly...

CSI Miami FTW (Started off with Horathio but Walter and Jesse are growing on me in the current series)

Haven't really got into the others NY & Vegas

CSI: NY I have to say is the best of the 3.

Stories are gritty, Mac Taylor is more realistic as a cop/CSI than Miami and the NY cast is just better all around.

Of course it also helps that Det Flack is the best looking detcetive out of the bunch.

    I voted wrong! :P

The original and best (the one that originally had no location suffix) is Las Vegas.....

I got into CSI via "Miami", but Horatio is far too contrived and posey.....

I love all 3 but at the moment the stories in NY are better

I used to love both Miami and NY. Never ever missed a single episode. But then, I discovered Criminal Minds. So far ahead of any of the CSI shows. The crimes are more out there and the analysis they use is fascinating. Well worth a look! :D

I've watched Las Vegas and New York, although I watch LV only sparingly now. I used to watch LV all the time during the first 8 seasons of it but now I only watch it the odd time if there's nothing better on. I always tend to lose interest in a TV show when they change the cast too much. The Miami one has never appealed to me - I can't stand that Horatio Cane character.

All of this is just my opinion!

Vegas is my favourite by far, but I've all but stopped watching all three.

Vegas had the most interesting characters :

Grissom - the "Picard" of the series
Catherine - former dancer/cougar; ambient sex appeal but somewhat boring
Nick - country boy; slight jock, good-hearted all rounder
Brass - who's dark humour embodies CSI
Warrick - ex gambler who's a bit more street smart; obviously carrying emotional baggage/former life situations.
Greg - tech geek who's naive but charming.
Sarah - Heath Ledger's stunt double in the Dark Knight. A sour-faced clown that flips out if anyone who isn't a white male dies.

-- in Miami; I only cared for Horatio (who is my favourite character out of all the CSI franchise; but can't carry a show by himself), Kayleigh (sp?) who just walked around a room in a tight sweater, missing clues, and some Vegas knock-offs :D (you know who you are!)

-- NY; I only warmed to the main dude for a short while (when he did his Bruce Willis/Die Hard job at the end of ...Season 2?) but in general I didn't like any of the characters. That said I don't like the stereotype of obnoxious New Yorkers!

Vegas had the nicest colour palette (Vegas - night-time, blue and shiny; Miami - bright orange and green, NY - grey buildings)

Vegas had the most interesting stories; and went about it in the most logical way; and had the least backtracking which seemed really prevalent in Miami (where every bloody ep they have missed significant evidence in the crime scene and must look again) .... I'm also allergic to "oh, this dust is from one specific rock on this side of town" evidence!

In Miami, I didn't like the extravagant budget used in the crime lab (crazy transparent TV screens etc) and the glare used in so many shots. In NY i didn't like the 'reminding' of clues found and the overuse of club music/quick editing style....it felt dumbed down to me.

Anyway, I think Vegas is awesome (or was awesome; ever since the Miniature Killer storyline of S8 it's all been downhill; I've stopped keeping up with it) but to each his own :)

Horatio and Miami all the way. The taking off of the sunglasses and the poignant look. The ones into the distance are the best.

Plus it always seems to be so dark in the other two programs.

Overall I prefer Las Vegas. Great show. Miami comes a close second, I love Horatio but everyone in the show is way too good looking for it to be real :p. I love Gary Sinise but I never really got into New York.

I think Vegas is the best, but my favourite is Miami. It's almost Twin Peaks in how surreal it is.
