Anyone know when the interviews for the Embassy are at the moment? The wait times quoted for Dublin are never accurate.

Aren't you in the US at the moment? Are you trying to tie in a trip home with the appointment? You do know that you can renew non-immigrant visas by post (details here).

Last year when we rang to get an appointment the only available ones were after my husband was supposed to start work (about 8 weeks later). When we told them this we got an appointment a few days later. I guess it's quite busy right now with all the summer J1s.

Yes, yes and yes. I wasn't sure about renewing by post since it's a new visa application.

It's a moot point now anyway because I eventually managed to get an interview at the embassy in Toronto :) So I don't even have to go home!

To renew by post it has to be the same visa. I only discovered that this was possible a few days ago and it will suit me really well because we are here for the next 5-6 years but can only get 1 year's visa at a time.

Excellent, good luck I hope they give you the visa

I have an interview in Dublin for a Tourist Visa which I applied for on the 22nd of April and it is scheduled for the 25th of May so there is about a months wait at the moment.
