    Hey guys,

Is there anyway using adobe elements 6 to copy and past an image from one photo and put it into a plain background?

I've been messing about with it a bit this morning and I can select the object I want but I can't copy and paste it.. though I don't know how to paste it into a plain background anyway :o

    Thanks

I'm not sure if Elements can do it.. probably.

In Photoshop what I would do is take the entire picture that the object is in, and paste it into the picture I wanted as the background, then create a layer mask to make all of the layer with the object in it transparent except for the object itself.

Fine manipulation of the mask with painting tools can help blend it in as well as possible.. although it sometimes takes some messing around with coloration around the edge of the object to make things blend just right.
