    It will happen. It must happen if our national rail services are to grow and prosper.

    This is how we must think going forward in order to save our rail network from the out of control and incompetent CIE/IE management and unions.

    To still be assuming that CIE/IE Unions and Management can be rehabilitated after 70 years of rail destruction is folly. Time to move on from this. There is only a thin sliver of Anglo-Irish Trainspotters protecting CIE/IE Mangement and Unions now. Apart from than the beast of Tara Street is all but dead.

    I am closing this thread.

    It's like this. I am tired of refereeing stupid puerile threads on rail travel that get derailed by so called rail enthusiasts themselves.

    FoTW, if you want to discuss the possibility of rail privatisation, you will do it in a thread that is actually constructively written. This is deliberately obtuse and inflammatory.

    I don't like inflammatory posts. One more such post from you on any rail related topic and I will ban you permanently from the board.
