A two fingered salute to nah-nah-nannyism....

I heard this story on the Moncrieff show a while back. Brewdog Beer, a small brewing company, recently brought out their, and Britain's, strongest beer to date - Tokyo beer - it's a 18.2% imperial stout.

In response to the Scottish Parliament commencing official movements to ban the sale of the beer, they brought out Nanny State. It is a 1.1% ale, so low in alcohol it is below the legal classification of beer and not strong enough to be subject to beer duty.

I remember buying 8 cans of beer at a festival. 50p a can or something. Brought it back to the tent and started drinking. It was rank...almost as bad as Budweiser. Looked at the can and saw .2% alcohol. I've never felt so ripped off in all my life. Hectors, I think it was called.

Remember hearing about this, thought it was very clever.

Haven't tried the nanny state, but a pox on the Scottish Parliament for trying to ban the deliciousness that is Tokyo beer.

They have a 32% imperial stout for sale. £35 pound a bottle though. That would pack a punch.
