long time poster here, met and txt and facebook a girl before I moved but still kept in contact while over there and was looking forward to meeting her again when i came back. kinda LDR, about 3 months ago I got a voicemail telling me to "stay away from ******" .I txt her asked her did she know the number, she got back to me saying she "It was a number in her mobile that her ex gave to her of a guy she has never met" !!!!. I asked her why she had a number of a guy she never met and why did her ex give it to her, she said she saves all the numbers? weird!! we feel out over this as she thinks im someway involved with her ex, so I havent contatced her in about 6 wks which was hard.
I returned home on friday and got in touch with her to say im home and she's still pissed of with me telling me to be honest with her. I have been honest, her ex screwed her head up for yrs and cheated on her.
I think I know what you are going to say but maybe I just want to get it out of my system, but any advice as I was really looking forward to meeting up with her. But ive done nothing wrong and she wont beleive me.

By the sounds of things you just need to contact her again and try to meet up..things are always a bit weird and strained in a LDR - try to meet up see if she ultimately feels the same as you. You'll know after that instead of wrecking your head now thinking of it too much...best of luck...

So a guy she has never met magically managed to get your number and called you and told you stay away from her...?

Now, I know I'm captain cynical but something just doesn't add up there. I think you're dead right to be wondering what on earth is going on and I don't blame you for not buying her "it's some random number my ex gave me of someone I have never met...".

By all means contact her and see if you can work things out but if your gut is telling you there is a rat to smell, perhaps you'd be better off listening and just putting it all down to experience.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for the replies, the thing is she wont meet up with me. She still thinks Im someway involved in something with her ex as makeing a foolout of her. I dont even know who her ex is just that she told me he messed her head around before.
Maybe I will chalk this up to experiance but I feel Im missing out on something wonderful, It just doesnt make sense

She won't meet you and is accusing you of being in cahoots with her ex? How did anyone she used to date or a friend of someone she used to date get your number other than from her?

I think she's just using this as an excuse to break up with you and the weird messages from a number she knew but a person she didn't? Red flags all over the shot. If it was something wonderful there wouldn't be so much funny business going on.

Sorry OP, I think you are well rid.

Yea I think I'll give up, Ive come to the reasoning that once she has her mind made up theirs no changeing it, or someones changing it for her.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay awhile, make footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same.

    Thanks all

To be honest your prob better off without her, sound like she has a serious trust issue and in some way been controlled by her ex. Best rid. Nice quote but get on with your life the grass is greener.
