+1 ring them if its still under warranty, there website doesn't give many options for repairs out of warranty :( my iphone has cracks on the back as well, and now the glass on the fronts cracked, will have to fix it myself as is out of warranty....

Will Apple really replace my iPhone if its cracked?

my 3GS is still under warranty untill December, and theres a small line crack just where the connector is. It was probably my fault but i can't remember how it happened. I mean the phone works fine and that, theres just a little crack!

So would apple replace it? I'll probally be getting the new iPhone in September, so this would be handy as i'd be selling it:)

edit: i bought it via o2 UK.
i'm nearly sure i read somewhere that they will only hounour the warranty in the country of purchase

Hmm let us know how you get on looking for a replacement. I've got a crack too, didn't realise it was part of a wider problem!

The small hairline cracks are widespread, nearly all iPhones have them. The white ones show them better than the black. I wouldnt imagine that any other cracks (that are likely caused by the user) wouldnt be covered by warranty.

Also Im all but certain that Apple only repair iPhones under warranty in the country it was purchased. Ive got an iPhone from Italy and so have looked into this quite extensively and it seems apple dont give worldwide warranty cover on the iPhone (they do on nearly every other product) so if Ive any hardware problems I'd have to send it to Italy for repair under warranty. You can get around this if you know anyone living in the country you bought it and have them send it for repair, as it needs to be sent back to a postal address.

    Hope that makes sense!

100% certain warranty is only available in country of purchase.
