Hi all, I hope to return to college next year to complete my HDip in Education. Does anyone know where I can go to see if I am entitled to a grant. I am 26 years old and have been in full time employment for the past 7 years, however If I am to give up work to pursue this I need to know If I would be entitled to any funding. Any help is much appreciated :).

I'm not sure you'll find much help here maybe try the Mature/ Non-Traditional Students

if you are applying for a grant based on your own means, the grant application will ask you provide details on your income from the previous tax year.

also if you have already completed a postgrad you wont be entitled to a grant, as it is not viewed as "progression" in your education.....

best thing to do in go into your local county council and ask to speak to to the grants officer...they are usually very helpful and will advise you on the best possible course of action.

    best of luck!

You can do the PGDE part-time in a two-year course in DCU. It's designed for people who are working (usually in teaching).
