Alright golfers – a request for help.
I have 2,700+ photos of Ireland’s 18 hole courses up on Flickr, but I’m missing a bunch of clubs (either through bad weather, bad shots or a wiped hard drive).
So I’m hoping you guys can help out and take/send me photos of the courses below. They’re listed in alphabetical order.

If you’re up for helping out what I’m after is a photo of each hole taken from the tee – I don’t need all 18, but the more the better – and a few shots of interesting greens or features/views on the course. If you look at my Flickr sets you’ll see what I’m talking about in terms of size (300 to 500kb - no multi mega pixels needed) and quality. Anyone who helps will be credited on the site, and put into a draw for a dozen golf balls.

If you can help, reply to this thread and let me know which course you can photograph - hopefully we'll get most of them as the summer progresses.

    Many thanks

    Kevin,

Although I won't be playing many courses in Northern Ireland this year I've sent out some emails so I'll try to get you as many as I can.

I hope to be playing RCD later (maybe not) and will take photos for you.

What is the purpose....are you going to use them in a book?

Kevin have you checked the websites for these courses?
I know my own (grange) at least has photos of the course on the website.

There maybe copyright issues with taking photographs from websites.

Thanks for doing that Stockdam. And RCD would be great.
Pics are not for a book, just my Flickr site which I'd like to build up as a comprehensive resource of images of Ireland's courses. That way people will know what they've got to look forward to if they haven't played there before.

That's the problem alright - and a lot of the pics aren't taken from an average golfer's viewpoint - i.e. ground level from the tee.

I'll get you some pics of Blarney. I play there all the time, so I'll wait for the next fine day and bring the camera with me.

I'll get you photo's from Macreddin today Kevin. I'll try not to get too artsy. e.g. Photo of the fourth green, black and white, old wrinkled face man holding a bowler hat with a glass of milk in the distance.

Just spotted someone has already beaten me to the punch. I'll bring the camera with me and see if I can get you some other courses during the summer.

    Hey Kevin,

These are currently being re-modeled into one course. Work seems to be ticking along, I'll get you some pics when it's completed.

I heard that last year - what sort of time frame is it? And do you think it will work - the courses are a fair distance apart aren't they?

    Hi Kevin,

Nice photos! The ones of the Cashen course bring back the memories, or lack thereof, of playing the Kerry Boys down there years ago. Really underrated course, the Old course seems to get all the praise, etc but the Cashen is some test of golf as well.

Might have a few photos of Old Head, Doonbeg and a couple other courses lying around in a folder on my laptop - if I can find them I'll send them onto you.

Definitely agree with you about the Cashen - some of those holes on the back 9 are mind-blowing.

I'm OK on the Doonbeg shots (17 of them), but only 9 of Old Head (too easy to be distracted) - so any extra of Old Head would be much appreciated - 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 17 are all missing.

    Hi Kevin,

I'm playing Enniscorthy this Sat at 6pm but I guess it's weather dependent on how good the shots will be, and I'm not sure if we'll get the 18 in but sure I can get what I can.

I don't know if these are any good to you, they're from the course website, every hole is there but you might want to contact them for permission. http://www.enniscorthygc.ie/gallery.php

    Conor.

    Thanks Conor,
If you get some photos, that would be great. I'm hoping to play there in the next month or so, but if you get a beautiful evening you could get some great shots.
