I see the Hills 5 forfeited to Clontarf 5 in division 12 for being unable to field a team (so says clontarf website anyway).

Does anyone know if the Hills 5 be able to field a team over the season?

A member of the Hills cricket club got married this weekend, so I think this might have been a factor in them not being able to field a team ...

The Hills 2nds versus Phoenix 1sts

Phoenix batted first and made 169 all out. The Hills went from 30 for 1 to 45 for 8.

Then Joe Clinton (55*) and Andrew Moore (33) put on 85 for the 9th wicket. At 130 for 9, Darren Byrne came to the crease and made 18 not out to bring the Hills home with five and a half overs to spare. The Hills 2nds have now won their first two games in Division 2.

    Division 13

Railway Union - 142 ao (off 33 overs)
    Civil Service 5 - 143/9 (of 38 overs) -

Last wicket stand of 11 (I think) to win the game. Service lost 7 wickets for 30 runs before the last wicket stand

Great game to watch, looked like it would be comfortable at about 100/3.

Vipul must have been happy with that win, he didn't feel he would get a look in at Phoenix with their firsts. I was talking to him over the winter a few times, he thought about moving to Rush but we wouldn't guarantee him a place in the firsts. He's a good bloke hope he does well for you
