The actor Gyton Grantley who played Williams in Underbelly looks frightenly similar to him.

    The real Carl Williams..

Cheers for the real pic of him.
They really do look similar. Great job by the casting people to find someone like him.

    Haha, classy!

Also funny how the Aussie definition of the term "bashed" is a lot more serious than ours.

They got it spot on with Grantley. He was probably my favourite character in the whole series too (pity he was actually a real life scumbag), a very believable character. He won a few awards for his performances in Underbelly too....

After finishing "the Wire", I was looking for a good TV recommendation and some people here suggested "Underbelly". I've seen the first 2 eipsode of season1, and to be honest am not too impressed. Reckon it's worth sticking with?

It's worth sticking with on its own merits but not as a replacement for The Wire. I'm not really a Wire fan but there's very little to compare between the two.

How vulger, a scumbag lauded as a great guy in a gold coffin.

Nothing will ever beat Flukey Stokes burying his boy Wille (The Wimp) in a coffin made up to look like a Cadillac.

He was forever immortalised by Stevie Ray Vaughn in his song 'Willie the Wimp'.
