Great stuff here on BBC 2 and Eurosport.

Dott leads 15-14, first to 17. this 30th frame is a cracker

Fair play to both players . .

Have to say, really feel for Dott. Anytime he makes a bad shot the camera pans to him and hes hands on head . . You can physically see the pressure squeezing through every bone in his body . .

Watching Selby correct the ref (making a shot harder) just highlights how pathetic soccer is in terms of integrity . .

Great game of snooker , very dramatic . .

Is anyone else getting the impression that Dott has been very lucky the last few frames and Selby very unlucky?

Agreed, but in any sport I always believe the eventual winner has at least one game where they get the rub of the green . .

    Dott has this now

    gutted for Selby

imagine what final would have been like, selby vs giner spice, attacking snooker at its finest

unfortunetly the 80's throwback will bore the pants off the poor aussie tomorrow

thats harsh, i taught Dott played some brillant shots tonight...and he's playing at a much quicker pace than the last time he won the world championship

I was looking forward to a Selby v Allen semi but that didn't happen either unfortunately..

Fair play to Selby. Feel sorry for him after the huge effort he's put in. There's something about Dott that makes me feel he hasn't deserved it but it's probably due to the fact I was supporting Selby since Allen dropped out..

I cannot believe Dott makes another Final, just looking at him in the last few frames was painful, he's bloody awful. I hope Robertson gives him a good trashing, for snookers sake anyway.

whilst he doesnt have the electric personality of other players, he plays a very clever attacking game. he is anything but boring when he gets down to the table

he's the worse world champion ever in my opinion

Agreed he does'nt exactly leave you jumping for joy with his personality and play but are you going to seriously deny him his place in the final?
This will be his third final appearance in the last six!
Even the 'great' Ronnie O' Sullivan or John Higgins can't match that feat.
He's there like his other final appearances on merit and not fluke and to do it ranked outside the top 16 and having to qualify makes it even better.

I have a very low tolerance for boredom when it comes to Snooker players, hell sometimes I even find it hard watching John Higgins...but calling Dott "anything but boring" is simply wrong. His whole negative demeanor just makes him so incredibly dull to watch. And when i heard he said "I dont feel I get the credit I deserve" this year it was the final straw for me. Yet another short man who has the whole world against him. Come on Neil!!!

Very true,he moaned that when he won the world title 2006 sponsors did'nt exactly come banging on his door, well would you blame them? a smile every now and again would do for starters!

People need to remember Dott has realised he does this for a living, a fact that Ronnie has seemed to miss. I would rather watch Dott grind out a win than watch O'Sullivan become disinterested because he wasnt having his way

Should be a great final, snooker is a fantastic spectacle in tight matches and I see this going all the way with Robertson taking a lead in the first 2 sessions but Dotts experience in WC finals will tell him how difficult it is to get over the winning line and he will hang in there and grind - another tight and nervy finish is on the cards - I'm stacking the popcorn :)
