Places to use a Go Kart?

    Hi,

    Going to be getting a Go Kart soon. Can anyone tell me places where its acceptable to use one? Doubt ya can just use an empty car park or something... Do you have to be a member of a club or anything? any advice appreciated..

    You can go to any of the kart tracks and run it around for a couple of hours,I don't know what the cost is but its nothing outlandish,as long as you have your own kart,and a helmet of course,I don't know where you are from,but there's athboy in meath,tynagh in galway,kiltorcan in kilkenny,watergrasshill in cork and edgeworthstown in longford,they are the main ones,if you google ''kart tracks'' you'll be able to find their exact location.

    Whiteriver Park is outstanding if you are in the North East area. If not, Pallas karting in Galway, Watergrass Hill in Cork, or Kiltorcan in Kilkenny. Any of them are great. If you want to go up north, Nutts Corner is a great track. Super 1's were there today.

    hi
    thinking of getting a cart or a motocross bike too as i really need to stop driving fast on the roads...very stupid i know
    so my question is about the availability of time on the tracks surely weekend are taken up with people renting? ideally id love to be able to run a cart for a few hours to work out the technique...

    Often they will let you out between "hire-kart sessions". Call the track ahead of time to see what bookings they have and it'll give you an idea.
