Eyebrow shaping in Dublin

Anyone know a good place in Dublin city centre to have eyebrows overhauled?! is the estee lauder brow bar in BT any good? Would be open to threading either, I'm pretty much a blank canvass at the moment, after a few bad waxing experiences a few years ago I've just let them back to their natural state..which was fine when the big brow look was in! Need a serious eyebrow genius now!

I had my eyebrows threaded in Cleary's last weekend. My eyebrows needed a tidy and a clear shape which is exactly what I got.
Threading was not painful - strange but not sore. I highly recommend it

+100000 for threading it is the best thing ever. I've had mine plucked, waxed, the works and since I've tried threading I've never looked back.

That was where I went the first time and she is great. However, I found that forking out €35 every 3 weeks or so for an eyebrow and upper lip threading was adding up. I've since found a girl who does it in her spare time (she is from India) when she isn't studying and she only charges €10. I'll check with her if she is happy for me to give her number out (she does it from her home so safety is a concern) and then if any of your want it you can PM me.

    Yes Penny, I agree.

I recommend this for the upper lip (does exactly the same thing as threading!!) - Epicare

So I only go for eyebrows now :)

There is a salon on Bolton St where a woman does eyebrow, lip and chin threading for €10. That's €10 for the whole lot not each.

Sorry to go off topic - can you explain how this works? Can you use it for your eyebrows?

    Here you go :)

Now you can have a clean, silky smooth face with this easy to use, simple and highly effective device; The Epicare™ facial hair remover.

Epicare™ is a natural, safe and convenient way to remove unwanted hair. With a simple bend and roll motion

Based on an ancient technique know as threading, Epicare™ removes the hair from the root! Rather than just cut the hair (like some cheap imitations of this product).

Epicare™ is very convenient and simple to use. It is also safer, less messy and a very inexpensive way to remove unwanted facial hair without damaging the skin. Waxing strips away a thin layer of skin each time and can cause skin to sag and wrinkle. Bleaches and creams can cause skin burns and pigmentation. Epicare™ does not require batteries or electricity. You can even use Epicare™ while watching TV in the privacy of your home.

Epicare™ is so safe that it can be used by anyone 10 years and older, even pregnant women can safely benefit from the Epicare™ facial hair remover,

    “HOW DOES IT WORK?”

It’s so effective and easy to use! No expertise is required. To remove unsightly hair from the upper lip, chin and cheek areas all you have to do is follow the following simple steps:

Hold each end and bend the bar downwards into an inverted ‘U’.
Place it against your face and roll the bar inwards and outwards with your thumbs.
The spring will catch the hairs and gently pull them out, leaving you with a clean and silky smooth face.
Wash your face and moisturise as required for comfort.

    Here's a video:

Seriously, it works! You wouldn't use it on your eyebrows (not precise enough) but it's great for anywhere else - the rolling movement of the springs catch hairs and pull them out ... Get it on ebay for a tenner .....

I was wondering if people would say what price threading costs in their recommendations. The woman who does the whole face for €10 is the best value I've seen in Ireland, by a long way, but it'd be nice to have some other options if I didn't have time to get across the city.

It's £24 at Shavata in Belfast, anyone know if it's that expensive in Dub? 10 euro sounds amazing!

It's €25 in Elysian and the €15 if you go back for a tidy up within a month

I've been trying to grow mine out a bit so heading back for my second threading next Friday. It's been a mare to resist plucking them in the mean time ... I feel like a bear!

I've been getting mine done with the same lady for years - she is in Boutique Hair and Beauty at the bottom of Nassau street and eyebrow threading is €15.

She is very particular about cleaning the eyebrows before and after threading which I really like - I had it done in Spain before by a lady who didn't clean the area but just dusted it with powder and I broke out in loads of spots around my eyebrows. Something to look out for.

I've gotten mine done in Arnotts a few times by Neelu. She is excellent.

I think she charges €17 though, which isn't cheap.

Its 20 in Brown Thomas, but you get 20 off any estee lauder purchase while you're there, so you can pick up a couple of lip glosses or something for free basically!

I find Asta brilliant there, and I've been to loads of places, she's very particular
