    Hi Guys,
Im new on here. Im a student of Media at NUI Maynooth and Im currently starting to undertake work on my thesis.
I was hoping to get some feedback and opinions on why it is significant that we understand how news is created and supplied
    - Is it important that we understand how and why news is created?
    - From the view of media is supposed to be an ally of democracy, Does it make any difference if people realise how and why certain information is classified as 'news'

I'd like to gather a few idea about this from some of you guys, if you are willing. I have my own thoughts on it, but I just want to know if my ideas are completely off the wall compared to the general population....

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated....

    Cheers
