    Hi All,

I have been working for a local company part-time for a few years while attending college full-time and with the recession, they cut my hours and eventually had to make me redudant (today).

I have two full weeks of college left until i finish my exams, i am pretty sure i can't claim until the end of these two weeks. However i have a problem my Girlfriend and i are looking to rent a house in the summer as i will be fully finished my degree but finances are very tough so i need to find out what i may be entitled to, so here is the situation and hopefully you can let me know what to do.

My girlfriend is in her 2nd year of college and will not be finished for another 2 years, she is claiming Back to Education Allowance and will be transferred to Jobseekers Allowance during the summer however i need to make a claim for financial backing during my jobseek i am wondering if i will be restricted both by my Girlfriends benifits and the €150 capping on new claims?

Also on a sidenote we have to move out due to problems with family (its a nightmare) could you also let me know if we are entitled to any other benifits or supplements as my Girlfriend has been on BTEA for 2 years and even with the €150 claim it will be very tough to move out.

EDIT: Just a quick note, both myself and my girlfriend are 22 years of age if that makes any differance

    Regards,
    Sinister747
