What Satellites with Sky Dish

My current house has an old sky mini dish setup and I am going to get a new dish installed for sky hd and so was thinking of using the old dish and re aligning it to view free channels on a different satellite.

Any idea what all I can get? I don't want to subscribe to anything but willing to buy a new receiver, I also have an old sky box if that is of any use...

A sky dish will get you some of the stronger transponders on Hotbird 13 East and Astra 19 East but there isn't much outside Astra 28 (Sky sat) in English free to air that isn't on Astra 28 already. If you want to go exploring then an 80cms dish and good receiver with CI slot would be the way to go allowing for you to upgrade to Euro pay tv in future if you wanted.

A sky box is useless for anything but sky as it is a pain in the neck to tune in channels and view them as there is no proper EPG for the other channels. I have a 1 metre motorised dish and a HD definition Technomate TM6900 super combo and its a great setup but I think I will get the AZ box next winter for the 4:2:2 broadcast feeds.
