Does anybody know how you obtain access to this room for the researchers hours, it says on the website that the public can only use it between 9:30 and 12, but the opening hours are listed as 9:30 am to 9pm. Anyone know how they decided whether or not you have researcher status?

I am aware this is probably the wrong forum, feel free to relocate if it is not suited but I couldn't find any library forum.

I can't think of anything funny to respond with, so here's a goat.

The main reading room is open to anyone looking to consult material until 9pm Mon-Wed, 5pm Thursday and Friday and 1pm on Saturday. You'll need to get a reader's ticket at the desk as you go in. I've worked there and never heard of researchers hours so I wouldn't worry about that.

I see, but what about the section "note" at the end of this page?

That just means the hours that it's okay for people to come have a look at the place and that the rest of the time they want researchers (i.e. - people consulting material from the library who have a readers ticket) Are you going to see the place or to research? If it's to research once you have your readers ticket you'll be fine.

I see, and anyone can get a reader's ticket? I don't have to be a professor or something?

As much as I l'd like a library thread in AH, try the regional forum for whatever town the library is in.
