I've 5.5 hectares of land and want to calculate how many LU's I need to keep on the land to get my SFP - can anyone provide a calculation for me?

I think the min sr is 0.15 lu/ha. So multiply 5.5 by 0.15, = 0.85 lu. I think 1 2yr old cow should do it. Just check it with somone else to be sure, after all Im only a farmer and sure what would I know!

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Thanks Blue5000 - my kids tell me I'm a wanna-be farmer, so being "only a farmer" is my goal at the moment!!!

I didnt realise you needed to keep livestock to qualify for the SFP? I thought you just needed to maintain the land in "good agricultural and environmental condition"?
