Radiator in a Porch??

    It depends on how well insulated the porch is ,the radiator may prevent heat loss through the porch.

    If the porch has a large heat loss ,a rad would be pointless.

    Well insulated.50mm insulated plasterboard,50mm Xtratherm fibre board and also 200mm thick Rockwool .

    New composite front door with a u-value of 0.208 (whatever that means).

    I've seen this done before. It's to eliminate heatloss from the hall. If there was none the rad in the hall way would be larger to compensate for the porch. So the engineer said.
