    hi all,
anyone know how much the SU buy books off you for?
i've got 2 books, both in mint condition, that i'm going to sell.
one's the latest edition bought brand new in the bookstore under the library, and one's a previous edition bought from the SU.
what prices could i expect or would i better to try and sell them myself?

    thanks
    whiteman19

What you do is print the form from the website and you can set whatever price you want. They take out €2 per book when they sell. Form is available here with more info. http://www.su.nuigalway.ie/site/view/188/ Maybe best now to wait until September.

Second years tend to do the student mentor thing. If you know someone doing that get them to sell your books for you. My advice is to get rid of them asap in September before the first years cop they won't actually need them.

You are so right, as I'm finished first year, at the start everyone's rushing to buy all these books for their subjects (me being one of them), before we realized that we did not actually need ANY of them. Spent 40 frickin' quid on a history book for HALF of semester 2, didn't need it at all..!

I managed to sell one of two my first year books, but still havent managed to get rid of my 2nd year books. TBH you rarely need to buy books. Usually there are enough in the library if you get there early enough.
