    Hi there

I know there may be a thread on this already. Please direct me to the answer or answer here.

I'm intended to fly out from Dublin to Lyon on Sunday. Can't find my passport. Is there anything I can do? Will I have to travel to Cork to passport office? Do I need document from Gardai before rushing down to Cork? Would I valid student card do to travel instead?

    Thanks

    Ray

I'll just quote my response to your other thread.
Get your ass down to the passport office right now is what you should do. Otherwise you're not going anywhere, unless you really like ferrys/buses/trains & more buses.

Do I need to go to the Gardai Station first before passport office? Do not have my birthcert with me, will this be a problem?

would agree with magicmarker, you have no chance of flying without the passport.

Please look at my above reply.

How much do I need to pay at the passport office today? Will they take cash?

    Thanks

You're going to need a young priest, an old priest and some holy water...

Unless of course you're French and have a national identity card?

you aint going nowhere. I was in the same position as you were a couple of weeks ago, the only way you'll get one now is to tell the passport office that some family member died over in france. It's a sh*t buzz. good luck anyway.

    Thanks man

Did you have to use your birthcert or any form of ID at the office? Did you have to go to the Gardai first to get aproval etc.

How much will they take cash?

I have to go to a conference

I'd say you'd probably need to get a form stamped by the guards to say that it's been lost.

Don't know what ID you need tbh, you're better off ringing the passport office.

You could just stowaway under John Hayes' armpit on the way to the semi-final.

op, you need a passport form and your pictures signed by the guards, a copy of your birthcert, a letter from your parents giving you permission to go on holiday, 15 virgins and the blood from a recently slaughtered lamb

its all listed on the form, co incidently, available from your local garda barracks

    ;)

You don't have to go to the Births Marriages and Deaths Registration Office of the County or City where you were born to get a Birth Cert anymore. You can now also get it from any other office in the country.
