How to report something?

I know of impending trouble wherby public endangerment might occur and I need to report this but I want to report it anonymously as I do not want to be found out for doing it.

I have come into very specific knowledge regarding this and while it is not criminal or anything it is very very anti social and dangerous and a public nuisance most likely will endanger the public due to the scumbaggery involved. I can provide links to a certain networking site (which I am a member) where this is all being planned out.

Phonecall to the local Garda/Police station will do the job.

I don't want to post the particulars online but I will give that Gardai confidential number a ring tomorrow. Who here is actually a real guard and not some keyboard warrior wannabe?

You can also send an annonymous letter to the local superintendent or phone the station and speak to a sergeant. You don't have to give your own details.

Why you would not have faith in a Garda to take this i'll never know. The view of the public that a Sergeant is all knowing and all powerful baffles me sometimes..........

O/P as members here have said, both Chief-- and myself are members of AGS and would be happy to help.

PSNI rightly pointed the Garda Confidential line.....this is exactly what its there for.

If your not happy with that then a letter to your local Supt signed concerned resident would do the tick. Try to give as much details as you can in the phone call or letter to help the investigation team.

PM me if you require advice.

First of all I'm no more a member of the public than you are. Secondly the reason I suggested a sergeant was because they can deploy man power to an area and a garda can not.

But a garda can report to the sergeant. And so on.

    So who are you??

Last time I check a Garda can radio a unit and deploy them........and as foreign says they can report up the channels....

I rang the station this evening and they were happy to receive the information I had. They were very courteous and I am glad I had the courage to do it tbh. I also PM'd Chief and Nice guy always and Nice Guy helped me out on the issue by PM also!
